Funds Received from Funding Agencies:
- Awarded and sanctioned with a grant of Rs.15.00 lakhs under the DST-FIST Programme (Ref No. SR/FST/MSI-001/2004 dated 20-01-2005).
- Awarded with the grant of Rs. 30.00 lakhs (10 + 10 + 10) by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under the scheme of Fund for Improving in terms of power supply, water supply, safety equipments, laboratory working table etc. to improve the Basic Scientific research in Universities, each to Non-SAP Departments in Science, Bio-Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Engineering Sciences to improve the Basic Scientific Research in Universities. - Received recognition from UGC under SAP for sanction of Rs. 36 lakhs with one Project Fellow at the level of DRS-I for duration of Five Years (Ref. No.F.520/4/DRS/2010 (SAP-I) dated 12-11-2010).
- Awarded with the grant of Rs.40.00 lakhs (20 + 20) to by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under the scheme of Fund for Improving the Basic Scientific Research in Universities to DRS Departments in Sciences, Bio-Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Engineering Sciences for strengthening of infrastructure in terms of power supply, water supply, safety equipments, laboratory working tables and infrastructure required for including the component of research at P.G. level (Ref No. F.4-1/2006 (BSR)/7-354/2011(BSR) dated 22-07-2011).
- Awarded TEN Research Fellowships by University Grants Commission, New Delhi for meritorious students to pursue Ph.D., degree in Statistics in the Department of Statistics under the scheme of “UGC BSR Research Fellowship in Sciences, Bio-Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Medical Sciences and Engineering Sciences” to SAP-Science Departments in Universities (Ref. - Approved and sanctioned with an grant of Rs.43.00 lakhs + TWO Assistant Professors for M.Sc. (Statistics with Informatics) degree under the UGC Innovative Programme – Teaching & Research in Interdisciplinary & Emerging Areas with Department of Statistics and Centre for Information Technology, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (Ref No. F.14-19(A)/2012(Inno/ASIST) dated 20-01-2012).
